This is what we mean by Collaborative.

The “co” in Cogrounded came about because of our founding desire to serve as a collaborative catalyst in the education market. We understand that programs built by educational experts often require partnerships in order to be successful.

multi-connectivity

We affirm that working together allows us to create things that are greater than the sum of each individual’s contributions. Collaboration means achieving something that can only be accomplished together with partners. To impact the lives of countless students, you’ll likely need to produce a commercially successful product and generate revenue from your intellectual property.

We want authors and other stakeholders to not only have initial input but to be partners in the development process that brings the program to life. We don’t just want to be cooperative, or have passive input from our clients, we designed the Cogrounded model for active participation with author teams from start to finish.

We know that things will seem uncertain—even scary—at times. And that’s why, at the philosophical level, we believe in it’s essential to consider us not just your agent and your agency, but as your collaborators.

Not only will individuals collaborate with one another in our projects, but the worlds of thinking and doing will collide in a creative and productive flow. Partners on all aspects of the development process will come together, bringing their time and talents to make sure that our efforts get your program where it needs to go.

But that requires communication. Helping you reach your goals– even if it might mean doing hard things– is the service we offer. And it’s those very hard things that will often require that we get comfortable with being uncomfortable. So, serving you requires us to be open and direct.

At the execution level, that means understanding what everyone is good at. We will respect your areas of expertise and experience, and we will let you know ours. We will tell you when we’re not good at something and expect you’ll do the same. That will help us identify the gaps in our plans and work together to fill them with just the proper expertise so that our work will reach its potential on your behalf.

Maintaining full engagement in the collaborative process is essential for all parties involved, because with our powers combined, and with your ideas in mind, we can be capable of doing great things.
