How our clients start their journey with us

What does commercial success look like for your program? Answering that question (in detail) starts with discovery.

The discovery phase of the Cogrounded client journey is a chance for us to understand what you’ve created at it’s core– and for you leverage our proven process to take the next step closer to that success.

We strive to put first things first and keep the sweat equity you have into your project at the forefront of what we do. That’s why we assess where in the development continuum your intellectual property is and create a roadmap to take it to the next level. Determining what it will take to achieve the desired level of impact in the K-12 market can feel like a daunting task, but having a process for commercialization decisions– and experts to facilitate it– makes all the difference.

Strategic sessions help us be thought partners with you to identify the right next step to take, and achieving small wins early keeps the inertia of your project growing. We make sure to set your project up for success by first clearly defining what success looks like. This happens through our methodical evaluation of the best possible solution that will help you reach your goals.

We refer to this stage as Coalignment. It’s where all the stakeholders are surveyed and inputs are mapped into a logic model before expectations are discussed in more detail than during our initial conversations. We get into the K-12 commercialization weeds on your behalf in areas you may not have known even existed–– and certainly the areas you don’t have the capacity to get weighed down in.

We empower your project team with the agency and the access they need to coordinate with the authors to capture input, provide feedback, and move forward together.

As we do so, you will begin to see the future vision of your program more clearly. Bringing together all the early inputs of vision boards, market benchmarks, and other elements of ideation– expectation and reality begin to coalesce.

Detailed consultation for development, marketing, selling, and implementation is part of what it meanse to have a Copilot who designs from a stance aligned with both Mission and Money.

From there, the second stage in our process begins: Coaction. We scope out a starting point and assign the right experts to execute the work needed to develop and market your program. This is an efficient next step to move your intellectual property toward its fully-commercialized future form. The team works together to ensure that your intellectual property doesn’t just get out into the world, but that it makes its mark.

Progress continues until we reach that special tipping point. The one where you can hold the final “product” in hand, that moment where you can connect tangibly with those first school customers in your initial target market. It’s time to get excited, to celebrate– but also to prepare for what’s next.

Reflecting on how far you’ve come moves you forward to the next step, which is to get your program into many more hands of those it was designed to help.

Thousands? Millions? That question of scale was defined in Coalignment. And establishing the right-fit partners to market, sell, distribute, and support your solution in the K-12 space was accomplished during Coaction.

Once all is said and done, you can rest assured that it was done with intent and purpose. And now there’s only one thing left to do—moving on to your next great idea to impact education.

So what does commercial success look like for your program? Let us help you write that story!
